This competition aims to promote creative excellence and innovation in news design in the Middle Eastern region. The main idea is to share with everyone the best of our production in the industry last year. Selected by a jury of leading design professionals, the winners were selected for outstanding work.

The competition invites entries from all magazines and general circulation newspapers — daily or nondaily, broadsheet or tabloid, traditional or alternative — published anywhere in the world, as well as syndicates and cooperatives providing material used in newspapers.
Each annual design competition covers one calendar year. Entry deadlines are in January of the following year, with judging in February. Winners are announced as soon as they are verified. The competition typically offers 19 categories, each with a number of subcategories. All newspaper entrants become eligible for the “World’s Best-Designed™ Newspaper” category. Competition judges may issue Awards of Excellence, Silver Medals, Gold Medals, Judges’ Special Recognitions and Best of Show honors.
